I am so excited to be one of the sponsored riders for Westwind Equine (Kellie Stonestreet). I have been riding since I could walk and have had lots of success in the show ring. I am currently riding two ponies, Uptown Hotshot (Gingie) who is a large saddle hunter pony and Uptown Charlie Brown (Charlie) who is a large show pony.

They are both spoiled by Westwind Equine as they wear the exercise boots which are such great quality and durability. They don't itch my ponies legs when they get sweaty and are easy to clean. I also ride in the saddle covers and saddle cloths which can be made in any colours! They keep my saddles protected from scratches and getting dirty. The hay bags and feed bags are amazing, our whole team have their own one in their colours! These are such great quality and look awesome as well. Our new arrival is the hay bale bags and the yard guards, these are also made in my colours, they have made life so much easier and stops hay from getting everywhere and the yard guards keep my ponies safe at the shows. Our ponies look so great at the shows in all their Westwind Equine gear, a few of my achievement's on charlie this season would have to be at Horse Of the Year 2018 I won junior rider of the year 15-16 years, we also got 3rd in the large pony of the year and runner up paced and mannered large pony of the year. At South Island premier Show we won Champion Large pony for the 3rd year in the row and I also won my rider class under 17 years. At the New Zealand national showcase championships we got runner up large pony and I got runner up rider 12-16 years.

And lastly and We have had many more achievements this season. Gingie had alot of good achievements as well at horse of the year we got 4th in the large saddle hunter paced and mannered pony of the year and we got 3rd in the NZ saddle hunter riding pony class. At New Zealand National Showcase Championships we won the saddle hunter title. Motueka A&P we won all our classes in hand and ridden got supreme in both and also won champion best presented, champion rider, champion paced and mannered and the NZ riding pony sash.

Westwind Equine's products are the best I have ever had and I'm excited to be sponsored by Kellie who is awesome!

My passion for horses started at a very young age. Both my mum and grandmother rode, bred and competed horses and ponies, they passed their knowledge on to my sister and I. I have ridden competitively since I was 3. We bred and produced our own ponies – carrying on my Grandmothers stud (Carnesso Stud).

My current show horse is Torbay. He is an off the track Thoroughbred, I lease him from Amy Hendy of Nelson, we compete in the Park Hack ring. I have had him for about 3 years and have had numerous successes in the show ring with him, some of these include Supreme Horse at Motueka A& P Show 2017, Supreme Exhibit at Little River A &; P Show, 4th in our Park Hack Lead up class and 5th in Youth Rider of the Year at HOY 2018.

We are very lucky to be sponsored by the talented Kellie Stonestreet and Westwind Equine. Torbay loves his show set (hay bag, saddle cover, saddle blanket, and exercise boots) made by Kellie in his favourite colour combination, navy and teal. Westwind equine products last extremely well and look the part too.

AJ & Keevha Wilson

Keevha and I are so excited and proud to be part of the Westwind Equine team. Kellie and I first became friends when she lived just down the road from us in Mid Canterbury. I was often popping into Morrison’s Saddlery, where Kellie worked at the time, and from there our friendship grew. It’s been so special watching Westwind Equine take shape and grow—I’ve always admired Kellie’s unique creations and the amazing quality in everything she makes.

Keevha was born in 2018, just a few months apart from Kellie’s eldest son Caleb and they often send each other little gifts and videos. Keevha rides Sharland Park Maverick, our 15-year-old who was a stallion up until mid-2024, and together they have fun competing in the Lead Rein section, adventuring around our farm and locally.  We also have Pine-Eyre Cat in the Hat, our funky youngster and Keevha’s future pony.

We love the way Kellie can customise products to suit us, especially with the bright colours that make our little team stand out. It means a lot to be able to represent Westwind Equine, and we always welcome people to come say hi at events and check out Kellie’s gorgeous creations in person.
